DIRECT Project Partners Gathered in Athens to Move Forward the Digital Responsibility Conceptual Framework

On 10–11 November, the DIRECT project consortium held its second transnational project meeting in Athens, Greece. Hosted by our partners IEK DELTA 360 in a productive and collaborative environment, the meeting brought together representatives from all participating organisations to work on one of the project’s most significant milestones: the development of the Conceptual Framework for Digital Responsibility.

Throughout the two-day meeting, partners engaged in a series of structured discussions, working sessions, and collaborative workshops aimed at laying the foundation for the framework that will guide the next stages of the DIRECT project. The consortium successfully:

  • Defined eight core principles of Digital Responsibility, encompassing key dimensions such as transparency, fairness, sustainability, participation, and others essential for ethical technology use.
  • Conducted interactive group workshops, where each partner contributed examples, definitions, and ethical dilemmas for their assigned principle, enriching the conceptual depth of the framework.
  • Completed an extensive skills-mapping exercise using the ESCO Skills Framework, validating and categorising more than 150 skills and knowledge items linked to Digital Responsibility competences.
  • Established the structural basis for the Digital Responsibility Conceptual Framework Report, which will play a central role in shaping DIRECT’s learning pathways, educational materials, and upcoming project outputs.

This meeting marked an important step forward for the consortium, demonstrating the value of cross-sector collaboration in addressing the ethical, societal, and environmental challenges of digital transformation. The partners’ commitment, expertise, and critical reflections were instrumental in achieving this progress.

We extend our sincere thanks to all partners for their active engagement and contributions. Together, we continue to build a shared vision for ethical, inclusive, and responsible digital practices across Europe.

Stay tuned for further updates as the DIRECT project advances into its next phase!
