IEK DELTA 360 is the second largest Vocation Education and Training Centre in Greece, with presence in 8 major Greek Cities – Athens, Thessaloniki, Patras, Ioannina, Xanthi, Kalamata, Volos and Chania. IEK DELTA 360 is certified by the Greek Ministry of Education and the E.U. and offers Post-Secondary Training Programs of EQF Level 5. Its goal is to ensure the quality of the provided knowledge and high levels of professional employment. In 2023, IEK DELTA 360 has merged with IEK DELTA Athens, resulting in a unified entity that leverages shared expertise and resources. This integration reflects their commitment to operational efficiency and the delivery of an enhanced educational experience. IEK DELTA 360 combines the most modern Vocational Training laboratory infrastructures, leading professionals – trainers and a dynamic connection with the labor market through its Career Offices. Remaining a technological pioneer in the field of education and with a five-decade legacy, IEK DELTA 360 elevates Vocation Education by offering practical studies, training, and specialization in line with the conditions that every young professional will encounter in the real market.
Research / teaching facilities
IEK DELTA 360 has invested significantly in terms of educational staff, modern laboratories, facilities and offered specializations, enabling young people to study the most sought-after professions in the labour market. IEK DELTA 360 Lifelong Learning Centre offers continuous Vocation Education and Training to adults, regardless of their professional status, age and level of education. Its ultimate aim is to support competent professionals in a modern and rapidly changing professional environment, both in terms of new market needs and in terms of improving existing services. The Centre has been certified by EOPPEP (formerly EKEPIS) and is established in Thessaloniki (with branches in Ioannina, Patras, Kalamata, Chania, Xanthi and Volos).
Projects
In 2023, IEK DELTA 360 has merged with IEK DELTA Athens, resulting in a unified entity. IEK DELTA Athens has a strong track record in EU projects, e.g. “ECWORK” for implementation of ECVET for work-based learning, “ON TRACK” for Tracking Learning and Career Paths of VET graduates, to improve quality of VET provision, “DESSA” for Development of Soft Skills through Apprenticeships, “WeROpen” an educational approach for digital upskilling of Teaching, Managerial and Administrative staff of VET Schools, “CARCRAFT” a Minecraft simulation game for Car mechanics, “DiGiGo” for Apprenticeships in the digital era, “Blue DiVET” for Blue economy digitalization skills for VET students. IEK DELTA Athens is currently involved in “SECOVE” – Sustainable Energy Centres of Vocational Excellence [CoVE], “Go GREEN” Supporting the acquisition of Green Skills in VET through work based learning, “Balkan Workbased Learning Cooperation” and “L2BGreen” – Learning to be Green: An AI-enhanced multilingual online course for developing a green entrepreneurial mindset.
Expertise
The 12 fields of study that operate cover the entire range of modern professions, incl. Gastronomy, Tourism, Technical Professions, Fashion & Beauty, Health & Sports, IT & Electronics, Economy & Administration, Applied Arts, Educational & Social Services, Media and Audio, Performing Arts, as well as Agricultural Training. IEK DELTA 360 remains faithful to its values: Transparency, Ethics, Responsibility and Reliability. Its priority is to strengthen an honest relationship with the students and foresee all upcoming trends, in order to create a fruitful student experience.
Key tasks
DELTA will be a key partner for the participatory development of the DR framework in WP2, as well as the empirical validation of technological developments in WP4 and WP5. Further, DELTA will provide access to VET educators and learners to disseminate the project’s results.

Konstantinos Kiousis
Manager
Dr Konstantinos Kiousis is Erasmus+ Project Manager and Director of the Lifelong Learning Centre at IEK DELTA 360. With degrees spanning mechanical and electrical engineering, renewable energy, business management, pedagogy and career guidance, he merges technical depth with 10+ years of certified teaching in youth and adult settings. In DIRECT he leads training delivery, stakeholder outreach and lifelong-learning pilots.
Alexander Kaltsas
Researcher
Alexander Kaltsas is an Electronics Engineer and Director of the School of Engineering at IEK DELTA. As a DIRECT researcher he supplies deep know-how in embedded systems, power electronics, automotive and systems administration. An accredited trainer who has taught electronics in primary, vocational and adult settings, he will craft hands-on labs and coach educators, embedding digital-responsibility hardware practice across the project’s courses.
Sofia Melampianaki
Researcher
Sofia Melampianaki is a DELTA researcher with a background in chemistry and extensive R&D laboratory experience. Former head of IEK DELTA’s beauty department, she coordinated 15–20 instructors delivering vocational courses until 2022. Now Academic Director for health and sports programmes at SAEK DELTA 360, she manages 67 trainers and channels sector expertise into DIRECT’s lifelong-learning pilots.
