Die Aristoteles-Universität Thessaloniki ist mit elf Fakultäten und 41 Fachbereichen die größte Universität Griechenlands. Ihr Ziel ist es, ihren Studierenden eine qualitativ hochwertige Ausbildung zu bieten und praxisnahe, angewandte Forschungsergebnisse zu erzielen. Die Fakultät für Informatik zählt regelmäßig zu den besten in Griechenland und zeichnet sich durch häufig zitierte Arbeiten und engagierte Fakultätsmitglieder aus, die innovative Technologien mit etablierten Lernmethoden verbinden.
Projekte
Die AUTH hat erfolgreich verschiedene Projekte im Bereich Kompetenzanalyse, Arbeitsmarktanalyse und die Erstellung von Online-Kursen durchgeführt. Zu den wichtigsten Projekten zählen das ComproFITS-Projekt, das wertvolle Erkenntnisse zum Kompetenzmanagement liefert, das SKILLAB-Projekt zur kontinuierlichen Beobachtung des europäischen Arbeitsmarktes und das Blockademic-Projekt für Kurse und Zertifizierungen im Bereich lebenslanges Lernen. Weitere Projekte sind Gradana und Comalat, die sich an Absolventen der Berufsausbildung und der Data Science richten.
Sachverstand
AUTH und insbesondere die Fakultät für Informatik im Rahmen von DIRECT verfügen über umfassende Erfahrung in den Bereichen Softwareentwicklung, Datenwissenschaft, Methoden des maschinellen Lernens sowie der Extraktion und natürlichen Sprachverarbeitung von Textinformationen aus verschiedenen Quellen.
Kernaufgaben
AUTH is the coordinator of DIRECT, given its extended expertise in managing and delivering European research projects. AUTH is also the leader of WP4 which will produce a skills analytics engine for learning pathways recommendation.

Ioannis Stamelos
Proposal Coordinator
Dr Ioannis Stamelos is Professor and Head of the School of Informatics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and serves as Proposal Coordinator for DIRECT. Having acted as scientific coordinator or PI on 30+ ICT R&D projects, he supplies the consortium with proven leadership and deep expertise in software engineering, effort estimation, competency building and applied AI, guiding DIRECT toward responsible digital innovation.
Lefteris Angelis
Teamleiter
Dr Lefteris Angelis is Professor at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and leads the AUTH team in DIRECT. A specialist in the human dimension of software engineering, he applies advanced statistical methods to analyze competencies, skills and learning pathways. Angelis provides the consortium with data-driven insight on human factors, guiding evidence-based curriculum design and impact evaluation in digital-responsibility education.
Anastasia Deligka
Project Administration
Anastasia Deligka is a researcher in software engineering and educational technologies. She holds a degree in Informatics from the Hellenic Open University. She has a lot of experience in supporting R&D projects related to the above-mentioned topics in the past 20 years.
Maria Ganopoulou
Project Manager
Dr. Maria Ganopoulou is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biostatistics. Her research focuses on the statistical analysis of data, with an emphasis on the application of causal models. She has participated in five research projects, and she will contribute to data analysis. She also serves as DIRECT project manager.
