Recognising this distinction helps learners better understand how their personal information is generated, collected, and used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The European Union&#8217;s <strong>General Data Protection Regulation<\/strong> (GDPR) provides individuals with <strong>the right to request the deletion of personal data<\/strong> under specific circumstances, a provision commonly known as the <em>&#8220;right to be forgotten.&#8221;<\/em> Despite its importance, many people remain unaware of this right or uncertain about how to exercise it.
